Paul Warnagiris is Founding Partner and Chair of Elano, where he chairs the board and is the firm’s lead investor. A serial entrepreneur and investor with a strong technical background, Paul works with venture capital and private equity firms on technical diligence and helps portfolio companies build plans that hold up in practice. Having spent his career on both the buying and selling sides of technology, he advises security leaders and the companies that serve them.

Paul founded The Teneo Group in 2007 and still leads it as CEO. The Washington, D.C.-based cybersecurity engineering and services firm was named Check Point’s 2025 Americas New Logo Partner of the Year. Earlier, he was Chief Information Security Officer at Promontory Interfinancial Network, where he ran the security program and regulatory examinations. He started his career as a network security analyst at UUNET.
